Previously on Verdict Nze had asked to see the IG and Nelson. He provided revealing information about Chief Iheanacho in exchange for leaving solitary confinement. The IG along with Nelson took a search team with them to the spot Nze had directed them to.

It was a large plot of land in the middle of nowhere.  Nelson and the IG had to ask what is this place? IG’s body guard said your guess is as good as mine. Like we see in the movies this is likely going to turn out to be an abattoir for bodies. I have a bad feeling.

As the body guard spoke they sighted a tunnel. The IG and Nelson stayed up, some of the search team went down and one of them came back up to tell the IG sir you need to see this.

He went with him and he couldn’t believe what he saw, it was a torture centre that contained lots of torture techniques top of which was water boarding.

There was even a lie dictator and also an electric chair. Nelson felt like he’ll choke. The IG said are you okay? Nelson said I need a moment. They look around and found bodies of people they could not recognize as they had become skeletons.

The search team outside called the attention of the IG because they had began to unearth bodies, So many of them. When the IG and Nelson came back up they were really emotional. Nelson said but who are these people?

I want you to know that you will rot in jail just like your boss. I don’t care if the whole world knows about us. I won’t let anyone blackmail me. You better watch your step in that facility before something unexpected happens to you there. She ended by staying your worst nightmare Lolo Uchechi.

The IG said how do we begin the process of identifying all these people? Nelson was still emotional and the IG said are you okay? Nelson said no I’m not I could have been one of these people and my family would have been looking for me.

They’ll be unable to identify me among the lots of skeletons here. How can someone be so ruthless and wicked?

The IG said put yourself together. We need to head back to Nze and see if he has names of some of these people because I doubt he’ll have all.

Chief must have been doing this for ages. We’ll have to meet Chief and Richard today as well and let them know their game is up. We’ll see if they’ll turn on each other.

They left and Nelson was so relieved. He said to himself I’ll never go back there again. It was a close call. The met Nze who was out of solitary confinement and told him they had confirmed his information.

Nze said he never wanted to be named. They asked him if he had a list of all those buried in the abattoir of bodies.

Nze said he had some especially the recent ones but also had a list of older ones. Nelson said and why would you keep such a list?

Nze said it was leverage. He then said sir please I’ll like to meet Chika. Nelson said with a stern look if you ever mention my daughter’s name again you won’t know what hit you.

Meeting my daughter will never happen. She’s not going to step foot in this place so expunge that thought. The IG said to Nze that they’ll need the list as it’ll determine the deal he gets. Nze said he needs a lawyer of his own before providing them access to the list.

The IG said you are in no condition to negotiate so out with the list. We’ll get you a lawyer after we gain access to the list of names. Nze provided access and they headed to Chief Iheanacho and Richard.

Chief was surprised to see Richard and other previous IG’s been brought in, in cuffs and chains. He stopped short of saying you are here too? Nelson read his expression and said as you can see your game is up.

They’ve been in solitary confinement just like you. They were arrested while plotting to kill me and my friends plus the IG. Well we’ve got news we found your abattoir and also have a list of people whose life you cut short due to your greed.

Chief said my only regret is that you were not part of the body count. Till date I’m still at a loss to how you managed to get rid of the drugs I planted in your car. How you were able to get rid of them before meeting the police I informed has given me sleepless nights.

Worst of all is how you escaped being assassinated the day I asked my death squad to eliminate you and all those police men to cover my tracks.

You escaped unharmed and as I tried to pin their death on you it still didn’t fly. How you’ve been able to elude me and hold me hostage all these years is still like a mirage to me.

Nelson said well I serve a living God and then I have a daughter called Chikadibia. I don’t know why we named her that. My wife and I just had her when you pulled all those stunts. I guess because of her God spared my life.

Then the shootout and the call made to you by your death squad telling you the police men had been eliminated but I got away.

Everyone here including the IG was a young budding police officer and must have known those officers assassinated by Chief yet you’ve worked for him all these years due to your greed.

Chief said yes they were greedy; reaping me off just to cover my tracks but thankfully that has come to an end today.

I killed all those people and I’m not sorry, they got what they deserved and what was coming to them for standing in my way.

Richard finally spoke and said Chief! You!  You killed those police officers? Chief said why not? Why wouldn’t I eliminate them I had to cover my tracks.

And Richard what were you thinking? Couldn’t you lie low for a while? Well at least you’ve found what you were looking for.

You couldn’t even eliminate Nelson here. You are good for nothing. The IG said well this went better than expected. Having you all turn on each other.

The IG said everything is finally coming together. I’m glad you’ve all met. I can’t believe my own predecessors will collaborate with a criminal like Chief Iheanacho, and worse of all try to assassinate me.

Well now you’ll face the full wrath of the law. The IG said you’ll all remain in solitary confinement because you are all dangerous people to be left with anyone.

I’ll ask the prosecution to prepare a case against you all and speed things up so we can have a trial and get over with all of you and send you all to where you belong.

Funny enough I never wanted anything to do with your case because I didn’t know you. I just heard about your flexing your muscles on two young people on national television.

It wasn’t until your minions tried to assassinate me that I paid attention only to find out that you were a ticking time bomb.

We’ve spoken to all the other people arrested with the rest of you and they’ve been cooperating in exchange for a deal.

As he left with Nelson, Nelson said we should get footage of the Chief’s abattoir to Obiora. We need to be a step ahead. These people can pull strings.

The IG said I agree but I’ve got my own strings too. They headed back to Nze and said so what do you want in exchange for these information?

Nze said like I said I want a lawyer to negotiate my deal. I don’t want a trial, I want a plea bargain. I know I’m guilty so no point going to trial. I’ll take the plea bargain in exchange for a lighter sentence.

The IG said very well then. Well get to work but I hope you are not leaving any information that could help this case out.

Nze said when I get a lawyer then we’ll know. Nze said please I need to get a message to Lolo Uchechi. Please I’ll need a piece of paper.

They said what for and he said it’s personal. He wrote her a letter saying that she was ungrateful and wicked for not trying to check on him. He said if she didn’t come see him, he’ll let the world know about their affair. He said he needed her to pull strings to get him out or he’ll sing about her husband like a bird.

He ended by saying that she should ask Nelson to tell her where he was been held. He folded the piece of paper and handed it to Nelson and he exchanged glances with the IG.

The IG left with Nelson and said what kind of snitch is Nze? I mean he is helping our case but how can he turn on his boss like that.

Nelson said I’m more concerned with what’s in this letter. The IG said Nelson! The IG’s body guard said sir he has a point.

How are you sure you are not delivering your death warrant, I mean you said it yourself he’s a snitch. I say we check the contents of that letter.

Nelson said I suggest we vote and before Nelson said all those in favor of, the IG’s body guard raised his own hand and Nelson said great the Ai’s have it so we are reading this letter.

The IG looked at them and shook his head and Nelson read the letter and exclaimed unbelievable. The IG said what is it? Nelson said see for yourself.

The IG read it and said Nze and Lolo having an affair? What has the world turned to? Sleeping with the wife of his boss? That guy has no conscience and what does he mean by she should get him out?

 That guy is two faced. Well we’ll deliver the letter to Lolo Uchechi and wait. Nelson had someone deliver the letter to Lolo. She read it and tore it to shreds and said who cares. You will rot in jail.

You can sing like a parrot if you like. You will tell the world about the affair indeed. As if I care. In fact I should write a response.

She took her phone and said dear Nze I got your letter and I want you to know I tore it to shreds. I also want you to know I don’t care if you sing like a bird or a parrot because that’s your business. You were valid while it lasted but now you are irrelevant.

She forwarded it as a text to Nelson and said for the criminal Nze. Nelson read the text message and laughed uncontrollably.

He sent a text to Lolo that read I’m not your errand boy or post office. Lolo read it and said whatever as long as my message is delivered.
