Adrian held his breath as they drove away until they had a loud explosion. Everyone looked back asking what was that?

Anderson said yes that Greg, that Liam’s shooting was a distraction from the main target who happens to be Adrian. Everyone echoed what? Why?

Anderson said because of the corruption bill I’m sponsoring in the Senate. it has ruffled a lot of feathers and they want me out of the way.

Once I have my son in my arms I’ll go and say a special thank you to Greg for deciding to inform me about the plot at the nick of time.

Adrian said where are you? Anderson said I’m home with your mother and your friends and the phone is on speaker.

Adrian said great, mum I’m okay so no need to panic. I don’t have even a scratch.

Dad called me just at the nick of time. I’m safe and just taking precautions so I don’t get killed.

His mum said my God I thought you were dead as she sobbed. Adrian said mum please don’t cry, I’m not dead or hurt, I don’t understand what’s going on but I’m glad to be alive.

God saved me today and he’ll continue to save me so please stop crying.

He said Stacey sweetheart you are there right? Stacey said yes I am, then he said I know you must have died a 1000 times wondering if I was gone, but I’m not.

We are still on track to do all we talked about, God is mindful of us.

Ryan and Nancy I believe you are there too please look after my parents and Stacey till I’m home.

Adrian said I hear noise that looks like they’ve found another shooter. The military is here in fact every security outfit in this country is here now, so I’ve got to go.

The call ended and Anderson said to Ryan and just what imagination is Adrian talking about?

Ryan said what else? The only way Adrian can leave there unnoticed is a wig and ladies clothes.

He can only camouflage himself out of there so get ready to welcome Adrien, the female version of Adrian.

Anderson said I don’t believe this. Mrs. Anderson said believe what you will but anything that gets Adrian home safe is welcome.

Jason arrived and handed Adrian and his security team wigs and ladies clothes and other ladies accessories and said I hope this works.

A second shooter has been apprehended and there may be more so I’ve got you 2 SUVs on the other side of the building.

You guys should try to play the part and get out of here as quietly as possible.

Adrian said alright let’s get changed as Jason handed them the keys to 2 SUVs and said good luck as he left.

Adrian and his team got changed and maneuvered their way out of the vicinity amidst the rowdy atmosphere.

Adrian held his breath as they drove away until they had a loud explosion. Everyone looked back asking what was that?

Adrian’s Chief security said just drive, soon news reports were reporting that Adrian’s car had been involved in an explosion.

Anderson watched the news saying I don’t believe this. What exactly is going on?

Not long after that they had a knock on the door.

Adrian walked in and said, say hello to Adrien and her crew as he hugged his mum and Dad.

He freed himself from their grip as he said I need to get out of these clothes especially this wig.

How do you women do it? How do you wear all these things? They are so uncomfortable.

Ryan burst out laughing and hugged him saying welcome Adrien, you can really pass for a woman.

Adrian hugged Stacey and gave her a kiss and Nancy said gross you guys should get a room as she hugged him too saying how glad I am to see you home safe.

Adrian said now I need to get changed and call Jason to let him know I’m home safe.

Just then Jason called Anderson and said the plot unfolds, I hope Adrian is home?

Anderson said yes he is, then he said my son’s car was involved in an explosion? Jason said I’m heading to your house now, we’ll talk.

Anderson said please I need a favor. Jason said what is it?

Anderson said I need new phones and SIM cards for everyone here. Jason said I’ll see what I can do about that.

Richard called Adrian’s father because he couldn’t reach him to find out how he was. His father said he was okay and said Adrian you have a call.

Adrian took the phone and Richard said hello Adrian it’s Richard I was worried sick I’m so glad you are okay.

What’s going on? Adrian said I wish I knew.

Richard said I’m glad you are safe, please keep me posted. Adrian said will do, thank you for reaching out.

Adrian said a whole Adrian can’t be reached, wow there’s a first time for everything.

Anderson gathered everyone and they headed to where Liam was and they prayed thanking God for the gift of life he had granted them all.

They thanked God for the healing he was granting Liam who was sitting up for the first time in a while. They ended the prayer by asking God to protect them all in the coming weeks from any harm.

Liam’s attorney stopped by to fill him in on his progress on commuting his sentence to house arrest.

He informed him that Fred had called him and he had a hearing before a judge to ask that his sentence be commuted to house arrest.

He said he was glad that Liam was better now. He thanked Mr. and Mrs. Anderson for looking out for Liam.

Liam said he is the closest thing to family that I have even though we are not related by blood. His attorney said he’ll be on his way and he’ll be in touch.

Anderson said Liam will be getting a phone today, I’ll have him call you on it so you can be in touch.

You need to remember that he isn’t a free man just yet so I wouldn’t like us to abuse privilege. Liam’s attorney said he copied and left Anderson’s house.

Jason arrived shortly after and said to Anderson here’s everything you asked for.

Anderson said he was grateful and handed it to his wife to distribute to everyone as he left with Jason to his study to talk.

Ryan, Nancy and Stacey reached out to their family. All their families were particularly worried as they couldn’t reach them.

Ryan’s parents had panicked as they thought he was with Adrian and was also shot as Adrian wasn’t reachable too.

Stacey’s parents were terrified too as they had no idea if their daughter was with Adrian.

Nancy’s brothers were on their way into town from a nearby city when they got the information and were worried sick that they couldn’t reach her. Their families heaved a sigh of relief.

Jason said to Anderson let’s get down to business.

I don’t intend for us to drag this issue on for much longer so I have a plan because I’m not like you who likes peace. I like war and this is war.

Anderson said just what do you have in mind? Jason said the key to resolving this whole thing is Kelvin, the warden Greg mentioned.

We need to secure Greg’s family in exchange for information on where Kelvin’s family is.

We need to act fast because we can’t tell if Greg has been marked for assassination. The walls have ears and may have heard him tell us something.

When we get information about Kelvin’s family I’m going to hold them against their will and threaten them to get him to talk.

Anderson said isn’t that… Jason said too extreme? Well no I’m just getting started.

He must know something we can use as leverage.

We have to fight these people facelessly. Anderson said what do you mean by facelessly?

Whatever information we get we upload it to a website anonymously tagging news outlets both local and international.

Anderson said and who will build the website? Won’t he or she give us away?

In the meantime, we should secure Greg’s family today, I believe you’ve got people who can do that?

Anderson said yes I do, I hope this plan doesn’t fall through. Jason said I don’t see why it should.
