Nancy said and who are you exactly and how do you know that Ryan is a one-minute man? Have you been intimate with him before?

The voice said I’m not a woman so I can’t sleep with him but I know his ex-girlfriends. I bet he’s told you that he is chaste but it’s the lie of the year.

That guy is just deceiving you by not requesting for sex. You think it’s because he is respecting your useless decision to be celibate.

Nancy said my useless decision? The person on the phone said yes, your useless decision.

Anyway back to what I was saying he is going along with your decision because he is a one-minute man. He is going to shock you on the wedding night.

He doesn’t want to let you know because he knows you’ll leave him like his other girlfriends left him.

Jason said I’ve no idea, I’m just the messenger. Anderson said well I’ll think about it.

For someone who shot Liam and wanted him dead, I wonder what he has to say to me.

Nancy said you still haven’t told me who you are.  The person on the phone said I saw you with him today.

He threatened me with the recordings of me you had. I just respected him and left to avoid causing a scene but I just had to let you know the truth about who he is.

Nancy said Henry? The voice on the phone said yes it’s me Henry.

Seeing you today brought back memories of all the times we spent together. Nancy said I don’t believe this. How did you even get my number?

Henry said well I never lost it. You blocked my other number so I got a new one to be able to reach you. Running into you reminded me of how much I missed you.

Nancy said after lying against me, you are calling to tell me Ryan is a one-minute man? You must be out of your mind, Nancy said.

Henry said call me whatever you like but I have really missed you. I regretted my actions after you left.

Please I’m better than Ryan, I’m pretty sure of that. Please come back to me. Nancy hissed and ended the call and switched off her phone. She lay on her bed saying imagine the effrontery.

She immediately thought of Dr. Richard and called him and apologized saying I’m sorry if it’s a bad time, I’m deeply troubled.

Richard said it’s okay, it’s not a bad time, I’m actually at work, what’s troubling you?

Nancy said I’m actually embarrassed to say it but it’s about Ryan. Richard said ok… ay what is it? You can trust me.

Nancy said I received a troubling call this night from someone, my ex actually who I ran into with Ryan today.

Richard said okay what’s the issue. Nancy said I can’t confirm what he said so that’s why I called.

He said something about Ryan being a one-minute man and now I’m deeply disturbed.

Richard said excuse me? A one minute what? How did he know that? Nancy said I’ve no idea but he said something about knowing Ryan’s exes.

Richard said why don’t you just ask Ryan? Nancy said it’s just embarrassing and then it came from my ex.

I just feel he’ll think I’m believing an ex over him.

Nancy said the main reason I called is because we are supposed to stop by for a preconception check up tomorrow. Is it possible to find out from the check up?

Richard said to find out if Ryan is a one-minute man? Nancy said yes.

Richard said even if it was I won’t do it. Nancy, you are better than this. Instead of being disturbed trying to cut corners and go behind Ryan’s back just ask him.

Nancy said how exactly do I just do it? Richard said call Ryan and tell him what you just told me.

Let him know how disturbed you are about it and let him explain and convince you otherwise.

Nancy said okay, I’m sorry for bothering you. Richard said no you did not. You did what was expected of you instead of dying in silence.

Nancy said good night and Richard said I’ll see you tomorrow.

She ended the call and called Ryan. Ryan was awake seeing a movie and was surprised to see Nancy calling him by that time of the night.

He immediately picked up and said is everything okay? You never call this late so what’s going on?

Nancy said everything is not okay and I’m deeply troubled. Ryan said troubled about what?

Nancy said I received a troubling phone call from Henry.

Ryan said Henry? You mean the one we ran into today? Nancy said yes.

Ryan said and what exactly did he say? Nancy said I’m finding it difficult to say this. Ryan said, is it that bad?

Nancy said it’s just embarrassing. He said you are a one-minute man and you are just deceiving me.

Ryan said I beg your pardon, me Ryan a one-minute man? And just how would he know that? Have we met before?

Nancy said he said knows your ex-girlfriends. Ryan said my ex-girlfriends? From where?

Nancy said I’ve no idea.  Ryan said I’ll be damned, then he said please tell me you recorded this call.

Nancy said I did. Ryan said please send it to me now.

Then he said to Nancy, listen, I respect you and I trust you and I’ll expect that you do the same to me.

I’ve no reason to lie to you about something of that magnitude. I encouraged Stacey to come clean to Adrian about her past.

I believe in telling the truth because it sets you free. You may not be accepted but it’ll set you free.

I’ve not met Henry before and I’m sure he doesn’t know me. He just wants to come between us because I warned him never to bother you again.

Since we are going for a checkup tomorrow let’s leave all these questions till then. When we get to see the doctors we can bring this up.

Nancy said okay I’m sorry if I’ve disappointed you. Ryan said no you’ve not, I’ll be so bothered if I was in your shoes.

Nancy said good night, Ryan said sweet dreams sweetheart, I’ll see you tomorrow. Ryan ended the call and said Henry you will feel my full wrath.

He dialed the number of his attorney and apologized for calling so late. His attorney said it’s okay what is the issue, it has to be important for you to call this late.

Ryan said someone is trying to tarnish my image and cause a rift in my relationship. His attorney said so what’s the nature of this rift?

Ryan said he told a lady I’m in love with that I’m a one-minute man and that he knows my exes.

His attorney said what? Ryan said yeah, the thing is I met him for the first time today.

His attorney said that’s really damaging to your self-esteem and ego so what exactly do you want?

Ryan said I don’t have time for a court case now, it’ll derail all the plans that I’ve made.

I want Henry dealt with in such a way that he’ll be scared by the mention of my name.

His attorney said do you have proof of anything he said? Ryan said yes I’ve got a recording of the call he made to Nancy the lady in question.

His attorney said great, forward it to me, I’ll have a listen and know the next course of action to take.

If you ask me, I’ll say we hire a P.I to keep an eye on him and then we dig up dirt on him.

When we find dirt we’ll put him in his place. Ryan said that works for me.

His attorney said if you are busy just leave that to me. Ryan said thank you. His attorney said I’ll be in touch. I’ll have a listen and get back to you.

Fred called Anderson the following day regarding Liam’s sentence being commuted to house arrest.

He said Liam’s attorney could request house arrest, and would likely get it, if Liam met criteria commonly used by judges when evaluating a house arrest request.

He said they include but are not limited to: not having a long history of offenses.

He said since this is Liam’s first offense, he is more likely to be considered for house arrest.

He said Liam is not a violent offender. The crime he committed is not likely to cause imminent harm to others.

He said Liam has a good, steady history of employment.

He told Anderson that in many house arrest cases, the offender wears an ankle bracelet to monitor the person’s movements.

He said Liam would wear an ankle bracelet. This electronic monitoring device is often maintained and monitored by a third-party provider.

This person can detect whether the offender has unlawfully tried to leave the property or remove the device itself.

In some instances, the offender is responsible for the expenses associated with the electronic monitoring device.

Having a defendant on home imprisonment pay for the cost of monitoring is particularly attractive to cash-strapped states and court systems.

He said house arrest does not necessarily confine the offenders to their homes for 24 hours every day, 7 days a week.

In some cases, offenders may be permitted to go to work and school, attend religious services, and go to medical appointments.

So Liam may get to go out if he is granted house arrest.

He said If Liam meets these and other related criteria, he can ask his lawyer to request this form of punishment during your court hearing.

His lawyer may be able to help him make a convincing argument to the judge about why house arrest is the most appropriate punishment for him.

Fred said I don’t even know why I’m helping Liam when I’m the prosecutor. Well he is lucky we come a long way.

Anderson said Fred I owe you for this, thank you so much. Anderson checked on Liam and he was better.

He filled him in on what Fred had said and told him his chances of getting house arrest looked good.

Jason called Anderson not long after and said Greg wanted to talk to him. Anderson for what?

Jason said I’ve no idea, I’m just the messenger. Anderson said well I’ll think about it.

For someone who shot Liam and wanted him dead, I wonder what he has to say to me.

Jason said in my experience it’s important you find time to meet with Greg, I bet he has something important to say.

Anderson said great I hope my family doesn’t hear this. Jason laughed and said that’s entirely up to you.

Anderson said I’ll keep you posted, thank you. Anderson said I wonder what Greg has to say.

He brushed the thought aside but Jason called back and said Greg is insisting on seeing you today.

Anderson said what’s the urgency? Jason said to Anderson I think you should head down there now.

He grabbed his car keys and told his wife he was heading out.
